Principal's Message
Welcome to the G.O.A.L. Program!
The G.O.A.L. (Granting Opportunities for Alternative Learning) Program is a primarily online, alternative education initiative that serves secondary students across Oswego Community Unit School District 308. The program provides a structured, student-centered environment that supports academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Our students engage in a blended day of academics including independent, computer-based coursework and direct instruction.
Although the 2025-26 school year marks my first year as the principal of G.O.A.L., I have had the privilege of serving the students of SD 308 since 2010. Previously, I have been a social worker, dean of students, and alternative education coordinator. Outside of the district, I have experience as a social worker and student services liaison with the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative. I have also worked as a therapist and counselor in private practice settings.
Our program is set apart by our amazing staff members and their love for the students. We live out SD 308's mission by meeting students where they are and providing personalized support that empowers them to succeed. Our team fosters strong relationships, uses trauma-informed practices, and tailors instruction to meet individual needs. We motivate students by celebrating progress and helping them set meaningful goals, ensuring every student feels supported and capable of thriving on their educational journey.
I hope our program allows each student to see their value, build confidence, believe in their ability to overcome challenges, and succeed in their own unique way.
